Can Ganoderma really help for high blood pressure?
Can Ganoderma really help for high blood pressure?
Are there any herbs that can seriously help high blood pressure sufferers? Many Doctors say it’s impossible to cure it. Some tell you that you must take medication forever.
Fortunately, many people have successfully improved their high blood pressure with lifestyle changes and herbs like Ganoderma Lucidum permanently.
What is high blood pressure?
Blood pressure readings are measured in millimeters of mercury (mmHg) and usually given as two numbers. For example, 120 over 80 (written as 120/80 mmHg).
The top number is your systolic pressure, the pressure created when your heart beats. It is considered high if it is consistently over 140.
The bottom number is your diastolic pressure, the pressure inside blood vessels when the heart is at rest. It is considered high if it is consistently over 90.
Either or both of these numbers may be too high.
Pre-hypertension is when your systolic blood pressure is between 120 and 139 or your diastolic blood pressure is between 80 and 89 on multiple readings. If you have pre-hypertension, you are more likely to develop high blood pressure.
High blood pressure is known as a silent killer as there are usually no warning signs in the early stages. Although you may not feel drastic changes, untreated high blood pressure gradually damages your body organs. It can also cause heart failure. The heart muscle can become so weak that your heart cannot pump enough blood for your whole body.
Over the long term, untreated high blood pressure can either burst blood vessels or cause them to gradually narrow and become blocked. In both situations, blood flow stops. Depending on which blood vessels are affected, it can cause:
Aortic dissection
Blood vessel damage (arteriosclerosis)
Brain damage
Congestive heart failure
Kidney dfailure
Kidney failure
Heart attack
Hypertensive heart disease
Stroke
Vision loss (blindness)
High blood pressure treatment
The typical treatment of high blood pressure is through medication. This treatment is very important. You must first consult your doctor for drug prescription before taking any herbs for high blood pressure such as Ganoderma Lucidum.
Medications reduce blood pressure quickly and help to keep it down. However, it does not cure the disease. If you haven’t improved your diet and lifestyle, your blood pressure will elevate.
There are 4 primary types of medication for high blood pressure treatment:
1. Beta blockers
Function: Directly reduce the force and speed of contraction of the heart. They may also have direct effect on body’s master controls, the central nervous system.
Side effects: sleep disturbances, sedation, impotence, cardiac disturbances, asthma.
2. Diuretics
Function: Make it difficult for the kidneys to retain water and salt, which are then filtered out into the urine. It increases the amount of urine and reduces the amount of fluid in the bloodstream, and hence lowers the pressure on artery walls.
It’s like turning on a second faucet in your house and watching the water pressure drop in the first. Not a subtle mechanism but it works.
Example: furesamide (Lasix), chlorothiazide (Diuril), and spironolactone (Aldactone).
Side effects: low potassium (leading to symptoms such as dry mouth, excessive thirst, weak or irregular heartbeat, muscle pain or cramps), impotence, high sugar level in urine, hypersensitivity.
3. ACE inhibitors
Function: block the production of angiotensin II, a chemical the body produces to raise blood pressure.
Side effects: kidney damage and reduction in number of white blood cells (leading to an increased susceptibility to infection)
4. Calcium channel blockers
These are the most widely prescribed drugs in the United States today. Function: Act by dilating the arteries and reducing resistance to the flow of blood.
Side effects: Dizziness, fatigue, flushing, fluid retention and swelling, headache and palpitations.
Medication side effects
Since high blood pressure medication must be used long term, you must be able to withstand the side effects. Some people, do not take their medication to avoid these side effects. This is dangerous and life endangering practice!
A more prudent and effective alternative is to follow doctor’s advice on proper medication first. Once your condition is controlled, use herbs for high blood pressure such as Ganoderma Lucidum for long term improvement.
The Ganoderma detoxification ability helps to neutralize toxins from medication. What this means is that it reduces side effects from drug medication and helps to protect your liver and kidney.
To be truly effective, it is critically important for you to alter your diet and lifestyle to a more active and healthier one.
How can you reduce high blood pressure naturally?
Keep in mind the following points even you’re taking medications and herbs for high blood pressure.
Keep your weight within the healthy weight range Consume less fat and high cholesterol food Eat less salt – consume kosher salt or sea salt when necessary Reduce your alcohol consumption Eat more fiber rich foods Exercise regularly – walks, swimming, dancing Do not smoke Manage stress and anger better — also reduced through effective use of exercising
Only by modifying your diet and lifestyle, can have better chances to improve your hypertension.
How Ganoderma improves high blood pressure
One of the causes of hypertension is the accumulation of fats and cholesterol in blood vessel wall. To adapt, the heart pumps harder to get the blood through narrowed blood vessels resulting in higher blood pressure.
The Triterpenes in Ganoderma Lucidum herb effectively clears blood vessel blockage by reducing accumulated fatty substances such as cholesterol and triglycerides.
Ganoderma’s Adenosine Monophosphate (AMP) can dissolve thrombus (blood clot) and further helps to remove blood vessel blockage.
Ganoderma Lucidum herb makes the blood flows smoother, reducing the stress on your heart. Thus it helps in lowering high blood pressure naturally.
Blood pressure stabilizer
Sometimes your heart may pump too hard and too fast because of substances like alcohol and chemicals found in cigarettes. This is another reason for hypertension.
Ganoderma herb can stabilize the pumping force of your heart. As an adaptogenic herb, it has unique ability to:
reduce high blood pressure when your heart pump too hard and increase low blood pressure when your heart is weaker.
Besides improving hypertension, Ganoderma Lucidum even helps to maintain a stable blood pressure for long term. It effectively acts as preventive herbs for high blood pressure.
Follow your health care provider’s recommendations to modify, treat, or control possible causes of secondary hypertension.

My wife just had a c section about 3 weeks ago. One week after having the baby her blood pressure spiked to the point she was at risk of a stroke. Her doctor is treating it as post partum pre-clampsia but the weird thing is her pressure drops when she stands and is higher when she lays down. She is on medication and her dosage was just increased. She is very worried and I am trying not be but I just don’t know what to do. I am calling her doctor first thing Monday morning! Anyone out there with advice or a similar situation?
If she is not taking baby aspirin preventatively she should be unless she has an ulcer or is allergic, its a mild blood thinner, this will help prevent clots and an ischemic stroke. She needs to eat a low sodium diet, and drink plenty of water. She should sleep in a cardio protective position with the head raised 30 degrees. I would invest in an electric blood pressure cuff for her to check. They are not super accurate but would give you a ballpark. Like should she feel weird, and take it and get a way high reading like 180/115, move on it, call and head in to the doc or after hours facility. Any vision changes, heart palpitations, total fatigue, headaches, it could be an elevated BP. She should make changes slowly from lying to sitting, but i am certain she is since she recently had a c-section. Is she using compression hose? Might be a good idea, help avoid a DVT. She should prop up her feet a lot. Orthostatic hypertension is a weird poorly understood phenomenon which like I thought increases the chances of an ischemic CVA (stroke) cerebral vascular accident. Ok drops when she stands that would be orthostatic hypotension and that is more normal.
She should have her blood sugar monitored, also mentioned below is an increase for type II diabetes, which sometimes is a rebound effect shortly after giving birth but usually resolves once the weight comes off

Hypertension or High Blood Pressure, medical condition in which constricted arterial blood vessels increase the resistance to blood flow, causing an increase in blood pressure against vessel walls. The heart must work harder to pump blood through the narrowed arteries. If the condition persists, damage to the heart and blood vessels is likely, increasing the risk for stroke, heart attack, and kidney or heart failure. Often called the “silent killer,” hypertension usually causes no symptoms until it reaches a life-threatening stage.
Hypertension affects 20 percent of people living in the United States. Of these, almost a third are unaware of their condition. Until the age of 55, more men than women have hypertension. After that age, the condition becomes more prevalent in women. Hypertension is significantly more common in African Americans of both sexes than in other racial or ethnic groups.

Stroke is the third leading cause of death in the US and a leading cause of disability among adults. Stroke is not an accident but occurs in relation to a number of risk factors or antecedents. Hypertension is the most important modifiable risk factor for stroke, and blood pressure level may play an important role in determining outcome after acute ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke. Hypertension remains poorly controlled in the community at-large, and once stroke occurs clinicians are not certain about proper management of blood pressure during the acute, subacute and chronic periods after stroke. Given the importance placed on hypertension as a risk factor for stroke and new data which is now available from clinical trials regarding management of hypertension for stroke prevention and after stroke, a compendium is needed to concisely summarize the available data on hypertension and stroke and direct clinicians about proper treatment of blood pressure. This text will address the epidemiology, mechanism, and pathophysiology of hypertension and blood pressure in relation to stroke and other brain sequelae of abnormal blood pressure, results of clinical trials demonstrating best suggested practice modalities to manage blood pressure and hypertension, and provide practical management tips for controlling blood pressure and hypertension. The book will be a valuable asset to medical students, resident physicians, practicing physicians, and other health care professionals who treat stroke patients or deal with persons at high-risk for stroke.
Informs readers of the benefits, as compared to traditional medication, of the DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) diet, and suggests alternative foods, exercises, and recipes that help to lower blood pressure.
Every five years, hepatologists with an interest in portal hypertension (high blood pressure in the portal vein), gather in Baveno, Italy, for the Baveno  International Consensus Workshop on Portal Hypertension, attending workshops and examining the latest in clinical data and research on this condition. This book documents the contents of the meeting so that practitioners who could not be present at the conference still have access to the proceedings.
Can a boxer be a pioneer for his people without being an all time great?
I think he can easily!
For example Anton Christoforidis , became the first Greek man who became a world champ in boxing,he is considered a pioneer and a legend in Greece, but we all know he is not an all time great in the world of boxing worldwide!

Same goes for Francesco Damiani,he was the first European champ after almost 3 decades and after him European pretty much dominated HW division and still dominate it of course!
I never called no Damiani all time great, but i guess some people who can’t stand diversity of opinion got high blood pressure lol
Wow Sirvon , you finally show your true colors about who are the real racists in this forum.Any convo about Europeans,Asians or non blacks boxers is annoying to your kind and cast
Sure, my dad is from Ethiopia and the boxers that he often mentions as national icons, i don’t even know.
