Trace protein in urine is normal during pregnancy. The diagnosis for preeclampsia is a 24 hour urine with the urine protein over 350 (which would be 3+ on a spot urine dip). The 24 hour test for urine is something that you will collect over a 24 hour period and return to the office. Sounds more like something else is going on with you that was causing elevated blood pressure. It could be possible you are developing it but that is something they will have to watch. Just calm down and take some deep breaths. It is a fairly common complication and can be managed well if you have prenatal care.
References :
L&D RN

OK calm down. Stressing will just raise your blood pressure. No, this does not mean that you have preeclampsia. I have had high blood pressure through my second pregnancy and started with this one. Your symptoms are not high blood pressure. There is not really a sign for it, they call it the silent killer because most people do not realize they have a problem. The only problem I ever had from it was black floaties, you see it in you vision and it just is small black specks floating around. Oh, and of course, when I got stressed out, I could actually feel my blood run hot.
The trace of urine is not a problem. Almost all pregnant women have a trace amount. Doctors only really concern themselves when you get a whole point or two. If they say it is a trace, then they can't even mark it.
Your symptoms sound more like low blood sugar. Try drinking some orange juice or eating a small meal then waiting a bit. See if you don't feel better
References :
18 weeks pregnant with a high blood pressure and trace amounts of protien in urine

Do relax, but stay cautious. I had Preeclampsia with my first 2, eclampsia with the last 2. I had seizures and kidney failure (due to the preeclampsia multiple time) and had to have kidney surgery during my 2nd trimester with baby number 4. Just stay on top of your Dr. and your feelings. Nobody knows your body like you do.
