The Use of Blood Pressure Monitors in Hypertension
One of my science fair project ideas is to see if skateboarding lowers blood pressure more than running. My school nurse said she would be able to check it but my teacher said that the blood pressure should be checked right after the activity. Since skateboarding isn’t allowed at my school will i need a physician on site to test the blood pressure?

I think I may have had a heart attack a day ago and I am doing my research on it. I am the type who hates drugs to fix health problems, even aspirin. my father in law is claiming that he cannot do a cardiovascular workout because of his blood pressure medicine, which he claims prevents his blood pressure from getting over 115. We are suspicious that this is yet another excuse for why he cannot exercise/lose weight. Any ideas?

When my blood pressure is taken, It reads low pressure. The pressure is taken in the legs and a normal pressure is read.

I’ve read everywhere that exercise can help lower your blood pressure because it will help you lose weight. I’m already skinny and won’t lose anymore weight when exercising. Will it still help lower my blood pressure? In other words does exercise lower blood pressure ONLY because it lowers weight? Or are there other reasons/factors?
