how can i get rid of baby fever?

my husband and i just got married and we both want to enjoy each other and our newlywed life for a few years before we have children and i totally agree with that, i do not want kids right now, but i’ve got baby fever bad..and i dont know why, is there anyway to shake it off?

Me and my husband have 1 child of our own, and 6 months ago my husband and I decided we were going to start trying for another. Talk about baby fever, I had my baby registered at target, and we had not even started trying yet. I eventually made my self sit and really think about it for a minute and realized I am just not ready for another child. my daughter is 3 now and we can finally leave her with family for a night to ourselves, im talking about 3 long years of stressful teething, diaper changing, fevers, hospital visits in the middle of the night, calling sick out of work every other week because the day care wont watch a child if they have a loose stool…. It’s stress full. don’t get me wrong it is a beautiful thing, being a parent, but definitely enjoy each other first, don’t jump to starting a family to soon, i found out i was 3 weeks pregnant right before my wedding, and never got to enjoy the beauty of just being a couple. Please ENJOY IT!!! Try baby sitting for friends and family, and not just the babies you like, take the ones who look like hand fulls to, you don’t know what your child will be like! hope I was help full!

Man Booker Prize Finalist 2011 Shortlisted for the Scotiabank Giller PrizeShortlisted for the Governor General`s Literary Award for FictionBerlin, 1939. The Hot Time Swingers, a popular jazz band, has been forbidden to play by the Nazis. Their young trumpet-player Hieronymus Falk, declared a musical genius by none other than Louis Armstrong, is arrested in a Paris caf . He is never heard from again. He was twenty years old, a German citizen. And he was black. Berlin, 1952. Falk is a jazz legend. Hot Time Swingers band members Sid Griffiths and Chip Jones, both African Americans from Baltimore, have appeared in a documentary about Falk. When they are invited to attend the film`s premier, Sid`s role in Falk`s fate will be questioned and the two old musicians set off on a surprising and strange journey. From the smoky bars of pre-war Berlin to the salons of Paris, Sid leads the reader through a fascinating, little-known world as he describes the friendships, love affairs and treacheries that led to Falk`s incarceration in Sachsenhausen. Half-Blood Blues is a story about music and race, love and loyalty, and the sacrifices we ask of ourselves, and demand of others, in the name of art.

I had a blood pressure reading of 174/104 today. The doctor told me I was a prime candidate for a stroke.?

I’m 49 years old, full of stress, dirt poor, with no job and very little money for medications. Do you know of any cheap ways to reduce blood pressure and avoid a stroke? I don’t smoke. I’ve stopped drinking. My main concern is stress. Just can’t seem to stop worrying about everything. My wife is ill, the kids are going hungry and I’m growing too weak to do anything much to help. All answers appreciated.

Hey my friend
first of I am sorry to read you are having such a hard time with what is going on in your life right now, but hang in there.
You have many good answers so I hope mines will help as well.
Trying to reduce stress is stressful in it’s self, but we can do it. Go for short quiet walks, listen to slow or even sad love songs this will bring you down into a quiet place with in your self, the key is quiet. while in this state of mind close your eyes and take a few deep breaths this will help to lower your heart rate in turn helping to lower your blood pressure, but this is only part of it. Exercise is a must with a healthy lower fat and low salt diet is the other part to lowering your blood pressure. You see it doesn’t really take a lot of money to get healthy it just take time and effort. If you are over weight diet and exercise will also help you to lose and that is even better for your all a round health. Taking aspirin will not lower your blood pressure it will just thin your blood, it will help it get threw the body easier, but if you are not careful with aspirin it can cause you even more problems. Aspirin not only thins your blood, but it also thins the walls of your stomach, if you have ulsters this could and does cause them to bleed, thin blood would be bad once your ulsers start to bleed.
So I would say just go with the diet and exercise the quiet time, the walks and the slow and soft sad music with the deep breathing, control your food in take and your thought pattern and you should be fine….Maybe this will help you until you get back to work and have more resources inableling you to afford to go to the doctor and get the high blood pressure medicine, but by then you may not need it….
Good luck to you and hang in there and it will all work out.
Take care and Keep the Faith….Peace….cya….

Medications and Diabetes Risk: Mechanisms and Approach to Risk Reduction

Medications and Diabetes Risk: Mechanisms and Approach to Risk Reduction

$18.25

More than 23 million Americans currently have diabetes and approximately 54 million have pre-diabetes. People with diabetes often also require medications for several co-morbid conditions (including hypertension, dyslipidemia, depression, heart disease, pain syndromes). Yet, a vast literature abounds on the potential adverse effects of numerous medications on glucose metabolism. Thus, genuine clinical concern exists that certain medications used for treatment of co-morbid conditions and other indications (such as hormone replacement, contraception, infections) might worsen glycemic control in diabetic patients or trigger diabetes in others. These concerns influence therapeutic decisions in a manner that sometimes emphasizes avoidance of possible dysglycemia over effective control of the co-morbid conditions. The same concerns may also weigh against the otherwise appropriate use of necessary medications. The purpose of this concise book is to provide clinicians with actionable knowledge regarding the effects of various medications on glucose regulation and diabetes risk. Beginning with a brief overview of diabetes pathophysiology, the different drugs have been organized by class, and the scientific evidence for the diabetes risk and possible mechanisms have been presented for each drug. The agents discussed include widely prescribed medication classes: antibiotics, antidepressants, antihypertensives, bronchodilators, estrogens and oral contraceptives, glucocorticoids, lipid-lowering agents, NSAIDs, and thyroid hormone. Although less widely prescribed than the foregoing list, atypical antipsychotics, HIV antiretrovirals, immunomodulatory agents, and human growth hormone, have also been included because of the interest generated by their link to diabetes risk. In addition to medications used in ambulatory practice, this work includes a discussion of total parenteral nutrition (TPN)-induced hyperglycemia, which is associated with increased morbidity and mortalit

Contributors from several medical specialties offer researchers and practitioners information that is theoretically and clinically of use in understanding the importance of people with diabetes being physically active as part of the standard of care for treating the condition. They also provide exercise guidelines and precautions to maximize the benefits of activity while minimizing the risk of adverse events. They cover epidemiology and prevention, the physiological effects of exercise in type 2 diabetes, management and treatment, and special considerations about exercise for people with diabetes. Among the topics are the metabolic syndrome, the cardiovascular consequences of type 2 diabetes mellitus, behavior change strategies for increasing exercise in diabetes, and conditions that may interfere with exercise. Which sugar level is good?

I just diagnose my diabetes last month. On the first day testing, my fasting sugar level was 208 and a slightly color change in urine. Since that time I am exercising and having proper diet. So my sugar is almost in the normal level. But I have some question about the best sugar level.

My current tests shows almost in the normal level. Fasting 98-110, after meal (2hr), 140-157, random test (evening 4-5 or late evening 9-9.30) 120-145. After exercise (usually 9-10.30PM) 103-110.

I think my sugar level is in normal level but in higher side. So what I want to ask is whether this sugar level is good or I should eat some medication to bring down to the proper normal level. May be I can maintain my sugar level like above test result but its in the higher side. So, is that good to put in higher side for long time???

a NORMAL blood sugar reading is the same for all people, all races, both sexes, all ages, except infants

A reading of 80-120 is normal.

Blood sugars go up and down by the minute throughout the day, depending on WHEN, WHAT, and HOW MUCH you ate, and how much you;ve exercised.

It is VERY important that you time your readings with respect to your meals. Your “basic” readings should be take just before each meal, and just before bed. These readings should be normal, 80-120.

The first reading in the morning, just before breakfast, might be a little low, like 70-100. This is a FASTING reading, since you haven’t had anything to eat for 8-10 hours.

“Secondary” readings should be take NO SOONER than two hours AFTER you finish eating. These readings should be “high normal”, like 100-130.

Taking a reading after exercise is not recommended. SOMETIMES it comes back normal, other times it comes back high. This is because when you exercise your body needs fuel — glucose/blood sugar. This is “dumped” by your liver. But when you stop exercising, there may still be a “slug” of sugar in your blood. So the reading will be high. But your insulin should have ALSO kicked in, which will lower the reading. So after exercise it depends right down to the minute when you take your test, if it will read high, low, or normal.

Either way, readings taken just after exercise are unreliable.

Time your readings according to meals. Do not take “random readings”.

You reading appear to be close to normal, but it looks like you need to watch your carbohydrate intake during supper!

My brother who is 61 has lost about 60 pounds over the last 4 months (Medifast). Is this too much too fast?

He was diagnosed with pre-diabetes and has had high blood pressure and cholestrol for about 10 years. He says he feels tired all the time, even with the weight loss. I think this weight loss was much too rapid but he claims his doc is ok with it. He looks great but I am very concerned about the rate at which he lost this and the fact that he is tired. Should he consult another doctor?

I’m wondering if the rapid weight loss and lack of energy is due to lack of food =/

Will oxycodone show up on 10 panel saliva test?

I took 15 mg of oxycodone every day for three days before I was randomly selected for drug testing. The tests my school uses are saliva tests, and I think they’re 10 panel. I’ve read that standard 5 panel tests don’t detect oxycodone, but what about a 10 panel one?

I don’t want any “don’t do it” replies or any kind of lectures. I know, I was stupid for doing it knowing that I could be selected at any time. I just need to know if I will show up positive because most drug tests just look for the pure opiates such as morphine, codeine, heroin and opium and don’t find the synthetic or semi-synthetic opiates unless further and more specific testing is used.

hmm… so it seems that you’re in a bit of a pickle if my research is correct. According to:

http://www.craigmedical.com/drug_test_10.htm

the test does detect opiates. And, according to wikipedia, oxycodone is an opioid. Now, what I don’t know is if it will set the test off or not. It says that opioid ‘s are things that act like morphine. What you want to know is if it will show up as opiates on your test there. Now with that, I know that if you eat a poppyseed bagel (or something with a lot of poppyseeds) it will trigger a sensitive drug test. So there may be hope for an excuse.

And finally some good news. Oxycodone has a fairly short half life (3 to 4.5 hours). So, in 3-4.5 hours you’ll have only 50% of the codone left in your system, and in 6-9 hours you’ll have only 25%. So if there’s enough time between the test and your last does, it may or may not show up in this test.

And even more good news. I think that it is fairly safe to assume that this test is an infringement on your civil liberties or some other constitutional rights. Talk to a lawyer (some work pro-bono) and go from there.

***STOP! NUMBER TIME!!!!!***

ok, time for me to ADD out here…………
15 mg tablet… and assume that you have 5L of blood in you…. I did say ADD… so…
15mg = 15000000ng
and 5L is 5000mL
so… that’s an initial concentration of 3000ng/mL (about 30 min into it… you know… time of absorption)

so

that test i linked too can only detect 2000ng/mL

so

In an 3 to 4.5 hours…. you’ll have only 1500ng/ml… below the testing limits…

ADD OUT!

Lastly… LOL, and it doesn’t use urine:
