Anyone know any natural remedies to heal diabetic ulcers?
I have several on my legs that have broke open & are very infected. I would go the a doctor or hospital but I don’t have any health insurance. I have been unemployed for awhile, so I have no money either.
First of all I would like to say that I treat a lot of this sort of problem here where I live in Spain (due to varicose veins, diabetes and blood clots etc).
I am a healer and I often make herbal medicines for the people here. Diabetes effects maybe 70% of our village (The old have it badly).
I do not charge and I work for free, so you know that what I am telling you comes from caring, not from greed. The remedies are very cheap.
Now to begin with I would say buy Lavendar Essential Oil…this heals MOST wounds 100% in a short time. It is antifungal and anti viral so it’s good to keep in your closet.
Use it for anything external (go easy if ever using it on delicate private areas).
Water a few drops down in a saucer of cooled pre-boiled water.
Use cotton wool to clean the ulcer…fresh cotton wool each time or a pre-boiled cloth.
If you are brave enough…dab some undiluted oil on to the wound, it will sting for a second but work more efficiently.
Leave it to the air in the day, cover it at night.
Use Lavendar as a mouth wash for tooth ache…cold sores…Dandruff, spots…ANYTHING. It is truely amazing.

Use honey, smear it onto the wound,,,bandage it up.
Clean twice a day,,,re-apply the honey.
Again honey is amazing…it cures headaches, heals burns, softens skin…etc.
In wars they used to use sugar to heal open wounds and ulcers…so if you have no honey use sugar.

Get in the habit of having short walks, elevate your leg when sitting (not to high).
Massage your legs, keep the blood going…NEVER sit for too long.

I’m worried that I may be suffering from a symptom of type 2 diabetes. In the last week I have developed cysts on the bottoms of my feet and hands. The cysts are not inflamed with any redness, and they drain a clear or pink fluid (same fluid mixed with a bit of blood perhaps). The cysts on my hands are quite small but numerous, and the cysts on my feet are enormous.
The only description I could find for this type of thing online is that it is a rare symptom of type 2 diabetes. I’m 25 years old, male, of Scandinavian descent, and I have a slim build. I’m six months pregnant and i’m thinking of switching dr.’s. Is this a good idea so far into my pregnancy?
The gyn i’m currently seeing is very dry in character she seems bitter. she once prescribed me a high blood pressure meds. that made me feel worse than i already felt. i had to stop taking them after only a week. she just comes in the examining room looks at my chart asks 1-2 questions than leaves. no how am i doing?, if i have any worries or concerns, or when should I come back to see her, nothing. I’m also thinking of delivering in a different hospital from the one she usually works at just so i don’t have to see her that day.
Don’t worry about who you’re seeing (as long as she’s giving you decent care) I went to the same OBGYN religiously but when it was time for the baby to come he wasn’t there – his colleague delivered my baby and everything was fine. As a matter of fact I’d rather see the dry, iron faced doctor who delivered us for the next go than the delightfully charismatic doctor that I went through my pregnancy with. If you’re uncomfortable then switch, your charts, notes, ultrasounds, etc will go with you.

Since I have never been in this situation before, I wanted some advice on how to repay people that are helping in my recovery from a broken bone. I have two aunts that between then have taken me to doctor’s appointments, picked up my mail and did some some shopping for me. A person I work with has agreed to water my plants at work while I’m out. It seems crass to offer them money, which they probably wouldn’t take anyway. I thought about sending flowers, but I don’t know if they are allergic and cut flowers seems like a waste of money to me. And with everyone watching their weight (I think at least one of my aunts is diabetic), candy is not an option. Would a gift certificate to a local supermarket be okay? That way they can get what they want and need. Now the question is as to the amount I should recompense. Any further suggestions?

Geeze, seizures can be caused by so many things. In an otherwise healthy adult…maybe a growth in the brain of some sort. But I’m assuming the doctors have exhausted efforts and that your dad has had every test under the sun to diagnose the problem. Google ‘seizures in adults’ and see where it takes you. Then ask the doctors questions about what you find.

This book will have four sections. The first section will be an introduction to the basic mechanisms of epilepsy; the basics of airway, breathing, circulation, and hemodynamics; the pathophysiology of the intracranial vault; and electrolyte disturbances. The next section will be on the evaluation of the child with a seizure or status epilepticus, including the examination; the use of EEG in both neonates and older children; neuroimaging; and very important, the differential diagnosis of disorders that mimic seizures. The third section will include the specific disease categories in which seizures and status epilepticus occur; and the fourth will review the treatment of neonatal seizures and status epilepticus; seizures and status epilepticus in the older child; and finally refractory status epilepticus. Specifically for the third section, each chapter will start with a description of the specific pathophysiology of this disorder, its effects on the pathophysiology of seizures, and then the specific seizure treatment and management of the disorder.
