Could I be diabetic!!!??? blood sugars….?

One fasting blood sugar after 11 hrs was 99 and then the next day after 8 hours fasting it was 124.
…..Is there reason for concern??? (>126 on two occasions is considered diabetic, my number is close it scares me but the 99 was good)…. i dont know!!
Plus I ate a bagel and blood sugar at one hour was 124 but then at 2 hour went to 149!!????

You could be prediabetic.

If you are a teenager, there is some leniency with your blood sugars. I read that teenagers can spike as high at 200 and still be considered normal.

Try this: avoid eating any fat for 3 days, and nothing after 6pm on any day.

Then after that, test your fasting numbers.

I found that from personal experience when I ate a lot of fat (i.e. pizza), my blood sugars were unreasonably higher for the next few days.

Be sure to drink a lot of ware for those 3 days.

A bagel has a fairly high glycemic load on your system. If you were to eat that with some ham and cheese, your spike can be much lower.

Proper diet and especially regular exercise every day is essential for blood sugar control.

When in doubt, ask your doctor for a glucose tolerance test. That is a definitive test as to any diabetic level you may have.

Note: I would probably spike to 149 or even a bit more is I dared to eat a bagel.

Avoid wheat products and processes sugar, especially high fructose corn syrup, eat right and exercise properly. You can avoid diabetes or even reverse pre diabetes.

Unless you want to prick your fingers all the time, and never be able to enjoy a normal lifestyle when it comes to the goodies, I suggest you get tested and do so now, before you are forced to do something.

feeling faint after exercise?!?

the other day when i was biking for 45 minutes i felt faint when i was driving in the car afterwards, enough to make me feel like i should pull over in case i passed out. today i biked for 1 1/2 hours and the same thing happened, once again while i was in the car. both days i ate a breakfast of eggs, veggies, and whole wheat toast, drank water before, during, and after biking, while taking at least one break each. i didn’t feel i was over exerting myself. i have no history of low blood pressure.

Nadolol and exercise?

I have been on nadolol for my MVP for several years. I have recently been told that I can stop taking the medicine or cut it in half when I exercise since my blood pressure keeps dropping low. I am in my early 20′s and jog over an hour whenever I get a chance. Is this common, to cut the heart medicine in half because blood pressure? Should I have any worries about how my heart is while I’m running–like it going too fast, since the medicine makes it go slower? (I have this worry of something happening if I don’t take as much, I guess since I have been on it for so long).

This doesn’t make sense. Exercise will increase your blood pressure, not decrease it. One of the side effects of Nadolol is decreased blood pressure, but that would be more of a problem when you are resting than after exercise. I would go back to the doctor and ask for more information.

Does any one have any thoughts about this stock? (VDTI) VitalCare Diabetes Treatment Centers Inc?

This was a report I wrote for Michael Cohen, of Doubling stocks.com, on their rec commendation of VDTI

The stock was apparently a new issue this week after considerable research and development.

I wouldn’t have held it over the weekend at any price after making 150% on it, but that doesn’t mean I won’t try to pick it up again monday at around .45-.50.

So here’s my review:

I put in a limit buy at .55 day before yesterday. But Scottrade has this as a “restricted” stock, requiring a telephone order. By the time I got an agent on the phone the stock hit .95 and I backed away.

My paper trade worked from Tuesday morning to Friday morning… 3 days 150%. But that depends on having both the timing and the right broker. The timing was excellent… Scottrade pretty much trashed the timing.

I expected a large pop on the announcement of your email… but not as large as actually happened.
The second pattern I expected to developed happened on Friday morning. VDTI dropped from a high of 1.04 to .44.

Friday is a treacherous day to buy Options and other hi-risk stocks. The best logic I can see for this is that many traders share this view and avoid holding “over the weekend” when they have a couple of days with no control over the investment.

The other issue is the result of the announcement and your readers effect on VDTI . I don’t know how many subscribers you have. but between them and the announcement of the FDA approval, and the introduction of an IPO the response was a pretty typical “Pop and Drop”. Yahoo Chart
When an average volume of 949,706 spikes to 7,655,056 shares traded, exciting things happen.

The “fear of loss” moves more people than the “anticipation of gain”. What I have never been able to clearly understand is, when a 10:1 spike occurs, is it driven by fear or anticipation? This chart would indicate Some of each.

Last, but not least… After a great 3 day run it was time for some to take profit. Which happened today.

Why do the soles of my feet burn?

Some nights (not all) the soles of my feet feel like they are on fire. I have fibromyalgia and arthritis in my left wrist. No diabetes, though I have high cholesterol which I am controlling with meds, diet and exercise.
I used to have the burning when I’d stand on my feet all day, but I’m unemployed, so my standing is limited right now.
I’ve googled Raynaud’s Syndrome and don’t think that could be it. There are no other symptoms to correlate with that.

Burning pain can be associated with fibromyalgia, some people with Fibro may also have Raynauds too.

While it could be associated with the fibro, it could be from any number of other things, such as synthetic shoes, standing or walking etc (but you said that your not standing is limited), any new symptoms you should tell your doctor just to make sure it not caused by anything else.

Depending on what I have been doing through out the day, my feet burn can burn pretty badly, but I find putting my feet help when I can does help. I have CFS & Fibromyalgia and this is not helped by the fact I also have Raynaud’s too.

My hands and feet change in colour from a waxy white/blue colour to a cherry red colour, when the circulation is returning it is incredibly painful, as well as a burning sensation as if I had put my hands & feet in a sink full of hot water, my hubby, daughter and friends tell me my hands are either icy cold or hot like bricks. So I have to make sure I don’t get to cold, which brings on the burning & pain to my hands feet.

is my dog in labor? i have an English mastiff. she is panting and moaning while she’s wandering around the house. she lays and sleeps in her whelping box occasionally. milk is dripping, her nipples are huge her vulva is swollen. we don’t have a thermometer so i can’t check her temperature. she keeps throwing up and swallowing it. is she in labor? if so, when will she have the puppies?

It sounds like she is in labor, I’d be looking for puppies in the next 24 hours.
