eating less fat reduces the risk of developing artheriosclerosis, or hardening of the vessels, the smaller your blood vessels are the more forcefully your blood rushes through them, cuasing your BP to raise. decreasing your sodium intake will lower blood pressure. Water in your body naturally follows sodium. and the more volume of fluid in your body the higher your blood pressure is.
Exercise allows the heart to contract more forcefully and more effectively, its called Starling’s Law. it decreases your HR and BP, becuase it is more effective. exercise is also a good way decrease the fatty deposits in your vessels, making the diameter of vessel wider. Also when you exercise you are sweating and your body in response to that vasodialates (or widens the veins) the wider the veins the lower your blood pressure is going to be.
think of it like a hose, the smaller the tubing the more pressure the water is coming out. the wider the tubing the slower and less forceful it will come out. exercining opens the veins and allows blood to flow less forcefully. loweing BP

What does low blood pressure and pulse also unable to wake up mean?
My grandmother 88 yrs old.Had a amputation yesterday. Now she has low blood pressure and pulse. My aunts and uncles can’t get her to wake up.
She is still in the hospital. She is a DNR and so the nurses arent giving a lot of details about what is going on they have called the physician in. But no details other than that yet.
she had an above the knee amputation done. No there wan’t a lot of blood loss. She has not ran a fever.. She did break out into a sweat around midnight last night but they linked that to the morphine.Her stats were very good after sx and then this morning the started declining around 1000 this morning.
Okay, so it’s an above-knee amputation. I’m guessing that your grandmother is diabetic? Has she had any heart trouble? Does she have a history of stroke? If she is sedated or has been given a significant dose of pain medication (usually an opiate or opioid), then the decrease in blood pressure and heart rate may be (at least in part) a side effect of the drugs.
On the reference website below, search for “hypotensive effect.” This is from that webpage: “Morphine sulfate extended-release tablets, like all opioid analgesics, should be administered with caution to patients in circulatory shock, since vasodilation produced by the drug may further reduce cardiac output and blood pressure.”

I ‘ve had an upset stomach and sinus pressure for over ten days , what can be causing this?
I can only eat a small of food once or twice a day and sometimes no food all day . I drink only 2 to 4 cups of water a day sometimes no water at all . My husband has diabetes and he’s been experiencing pain and burning in his legs. The pain is debilitating at times. He’s told his doctor, but the ultrasound shows that his circulation is in the normal range.
Would too much sugar in his diet trigger the pain, or is this a cumulative effect of too much sugar too long? (He just told me he’s been eating bags of jelly beans at work when he gets stressed. It’s not enough that his blood sugar levels are spiking and his A1C’s are good – 5.6 to 5.9.)
Is there anything natural he could do to deal with this? I know there are drugs, but the side-effects are pretty scary. He currently takes glucophage and blood pressure meds.
